N.A.E.T. - Nambudripad Allergy Elimination Therapy
N.A.E.T. offers an energy-medicine solution to allergies. N.A.E.T. combines Chinese medicine principles applied through kinesiology and acupressure and was developed over the last 15 years by Dr. Devi Nanbudripad, L.Ac., D.C., Ph.D. Muscle Response Testing (MRT) is used to confirm the presence of allergic reactivity. Once identified, acupressure is used to ELIMINATE THE ALLERGY, by reprogramming the body's response to any future contact with the allergen. A specific protocol has evolved which prioritizes treatment of the allergens. N.A.E.T. recognizes three main categories of energy blockage/imbalance;
- structural/environmental
- chemical/nutritional
- psychological/emotional
Conditions treated with N.A.E.T. but NOT generally recognized to have an allergic basis can include: toxic chemical reactions, vaccine reactions, idiopathic bowel disease, severe gingivitis, gastritis, cystitis, sinusitis, rhinitis, asthma, constipation, diabetes mellitus, chronic recurring infections, conjunctivitis, external otitis, dandruff sebborheic dermatitis and pancreatitis, as well as the more commonly agreed upon allergic conditions such as: over grooming, flea allergy dermatitis, food intolerance and allergic bronchitis. Autoimmune disease has become much more commonly recognized in animals, and stems from a hyper-stimulated immune system or from environmental factors that have turned the "defense unit" of the body on itself.
While this therapy may seem a bit "weird" (and believe me it looked a bit weird to me too when I was first learning this!), let me remind you that the principles of acupuncture, and MRT are thousands of years old. Most of you accept acupuncture as "one of those alternative things that might work" simply because you are seeing more and more articles written on it and more doctors are using it. So it is with N.A.E.T.
