There are some new concerns on the value and harm of yearly vaccines without checking the levels of immunity the exists in the body of your pet. Dr Newkirk wants to insure that we do not give unnecessary vaccinations to your pet.

It is now possible to do a simple blood test to assess the need for a vaccination.This blood test known as a Titer test.

Based on the results of the Titer test we will recommend an individualized vaccination program for your pet.

Each year then, instead of vaccine, a titer test would be done.  If the test comes back low, then the vaccine would be given. We feel that this is a MUCH better way to manage your pet’s health and yet keep him/her protected at the same time.
